Vince Zampella, who helped create the wildly popular video game Call of Duty, has died in a car accident in California aged 55.

The tragic news was announced by Electronic Arts, which owns Respawn Entertainment, a game studio he co-founded.

The celebrated video game developer lost his life when his automobile collided and burst into flames on a motorway in Los Angeles on Sunday, according to.
