England footballer Michelle Agyemang, darts player Luke Littler and cricketer Davina Perrin have been shortlisted for the this year's Young Athlete of the Year award.

The three finalists have been celebrated for their outstanding achievements over the previous year.

Agyemang helped the Lionesses secure Euro 2025, Littler claimed the world title for the very first time, and Perrin rose to fame with a unprecedented innings.

Littler claimed this honour in 2024 after his sensational debut year.

The finalists were revealed during a live broadcast on a popular morning radio program.

The 2025 recipient will be announced during a live broadcast on the Sports Personality of the Year show on December 18th.

The ceremony will be aired from seven in the evening GMT.

Michelle Agyemang

Age: 19 Sport: Football

A mere three months after her international debut, Agyemang played a pivotal and thrilling role in England's run to European Championship victory.

She came off the bench to score key tying goals in both the last eight and last four matches.

Agyemang's stunning interventions led to her being named the tournament's top young talent.

Afterwards, she was awarded the Golden Girl trophy for the best young player in Europe.

She was also shortlisted for the Kopa Trophy for the planet's top young female footballer.

Agyemang, who has been at Brighton in a temporary move from Arsenal, suffered an ACL injury in October.

"To be named a finalist for this honour is an honour," said Agyemang. "I thank God and I'm grateful for the support I've received from my inner circle and supporters."

Luke Littler

Age: 18 Sport: Darts

Littler's 2025 began in incredible form as - at just 17 years old - he became the most youthful world title winner in history.

He secured a dominant victory over Michael van Gerwen in the final.

His later win at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth individual to complete the prestigious PDC Triple Crown.

And he wasn't finished there - his victory at November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he reached world number one for the very first time.

At 18, he is the earliest achiever to do so, smashing the previous record.

"Being nominated for this award again is a huge privilege," stated Littler. "Winning last year was a special memory for me and I've had another amazing 12 months. I want to continue promoting darts."

The Cricket Sensation

Age: 19 Sport: Cricket

Perrin is one of English cricket's top prospects and surged to prominence with an remarkable and historic innings in August.

Her brilliant 42-ball century in The Hundred is the speediest century from an England batswoman in T20s.

It also stands as the equal third-quickest women's T20 century in a top-tier competition.

Perrin came in second place in the batting rankings and was named PCA Women's Young Player of the Year.

"I'm deeply humbled to be named a finalist for the Young Sports Star award," expressed Perrin. "This is phenomenal. I hope it motivates more girls to get into cricket."
