Salah Extends Regret to Teammates, Discloses Curtis Jones

The Liverpool midfielder has disclosed that Salah said sorry to the team following the uproar from his recent interview.

The Fallout

The striker was dropped from a vital match after voicing frustrations and stating his relationship with manager had broken down.

“He speaks for himself and he can say his own stuff,” Jones revealed. “He said sorry to the group and was like: ‘If my words hurt anyone, please accept my apology.’”

The head coach has refused to comment publicly on whether he got an explanation from the player.

Team Unity

He emphasized that the dressing room atmosphere was unchanged. “He was the exact same Mo, he had a big smile on his face and everybody was exactly the same with him,” the midfielder explained.

The midfielder also implied that a player's desire to start is preferable. “I understand there are certain ways you can express yourself,” he said. “However, if a player is content to just sit out, then I think that’s more of an issue.”

Positive Results

Their results have stayed unbeaten in the matches since the initial controversy. Jones believes the Salah's words were never meant to harm the team.

“In moments of frustration, it’s always been from a place of caring,” Jones concluded. “That chapter is closed and we’re building chemistry, performing and starting to win games.”
